Shunichi Horigome
Profile

Project researcher (JSPS Research Fellowship for Young Scientists (PD)) at Astronomical Institute, Tohoku University (opens in a new tab), studying physics related to dark matter.
Research Interests
- Dark matter
- Particle physics
- Astrophysics
- Cosmology
- Machine learning
I am interested in the dark matter physics, unknown matter that makes up most of the matter in the universe. In particular, I am working on the estimation of the dark matter density profile in dwarf spheroidal galaxies, which are dark matter dominated objects around the Milky Way.
In order to solve the dark matter problem, I am working on the interdisciplinary research of particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology. I am also interested in the application of machine learning to accelerate the data analysis in these fields.
