Cycling around Tokyo

My parents run a website and YouTube channel about cycling around Tokyo and nearby areas. They collect routes they have ridden, places to stop for lunch, sightseeing spots, maps, and practical information such as rental-cycle options.

The website is mainly in Japanese, but if you are visiting or staying in Tokyo and enjoy cycling, the maps, photographs, and videos may still be useful when looking for somewhere to ride in your free time.

The companion charry1000 YouTube channel has videos from many of the rides and is an easy way to see what the routes and surroundings are like.

If you happen to be in Tokyo for a conference, workshop, research visit, or a new position, and you like cycling, it may be worth taking a look when you have some free time.

The original site also maintains a course map and introduces destinations such as Nihonbashi, Ryogoku, Asakusa, Ueno, Odaiba, Kichijoji, Inokashira Park, and routes along Tokyo’s rivers and cycling roads.
